Handwoven in Madagascar, this small vetiver basket is a beautifully tactile piece of traditional craftsmanship. Its intricate, organic form is reminiscent of a bird’s nest, with each basket woven by hand from 100% natural vetiver root and subtly unique.

Vetiver is widely cultivated in Madagascar and is perhaps best known for its extraordinary fragrance — warm, earthy, woody and quietly grounding. It is our favorite scent, one we have come to think of simply as our signature fragrance.

The roots of the vetiver plant are prized for the aromatic oil used in fine perfumery. After processing, the fibrous roots can be dried and woven by hand into these delicate baskets, where they retain that unmistakable earthy scent.
